How We're addressing

Ontario’s ECA Shortage

Ontario faces a critical shortage of qualified Early Childhood Assistants, placing pressure on child care centres, families and communities. Demand for trained ECAs continues to rise, especially in bilingual, culturally diverse and inclusive settings.

Our goal is not only to provide high-quality training but to ensure every graduate contributes meaningfully to addressing staffing challenges in Ontario’s early years sector.

  • Job-Ready Training

Training job-ready ECAs to fill workforce gaps in licensed child care programs.

  • Employer Partnerships

Partnering with employers to offer hands-on placements and hiring pathways.

  • Inclusive Recruitment

Prioritizing recruitment of underrepresented populations, including newcomers, youth, Black Indigenous and racialized peoples, and bilingual (French/English) candidates.
